A note from the crew
We thought that was a shame. So we opened the doors. Come walk the floors of our 1890s building, watch the work happen, and, if you want, sit down with us to design a bag that's yours from the first stitch.
From the showroom floor to the basement hide rack, here's where the tour takes you.
First Floor · Showroom
— how we got here
A quick history of Range and the building itself — constructed in the 1890s with the original tin ceiling, brick, and wood floors still intact. The three things we stand on: full-grain leather, the Forever Guarantee, and handcrafted right here.
First Floor · Production
— the work in motion
A live walkthrough of crafting: cutting hides, punching holes, hand-stitching reinforcement points. You'll see the sewing machines for edge work and the hand-stitching benches where every external pocket gets locked in. We'll explain why full-grain holds up where lesser leathers don't.
The Old Elevator
— a piece of building history
The original freight elevator that hauled furniture for the building's earlier tenants. Still operational, still a character. We don't ride it, but you'll get the story.
Basement
— where the hides live
The hide inventory and storage room, plus our quality-control station where every finished piece gets inspected before it goes anywhere near a customer. We'll talk through how we source from Horween and what we look for in a good hide.
Second Floor
— from logo to leather
Our leather-patch hat operation. Watch a logo go from mock-up to brass stamp to heat-pressed patch, ready for a hat. Coasters, keychains, corporate gifts — same process, same shop. If you've got branding ideas, this is where they happen.
Why we do this
The Range building isn't a tourist stop — it's where the work happens, six days a week. When you visit, the lights are on. The machines are running. The crew is at their benches. You're seeing the real thing.
We use full-grain Horween leather from a tannery in Chicago that's been making it since 1905. We cut, stitch, and finish every piece in Laramie. And we back the construction for life. That's the whole story — and the best way to tell it is to show you.
We make it. You use it hard. If it ever quits, we fix it.
